Scaling circular solutions for a clean environment: From innovation to market uptake

Europe's transition towards a circular economy requires not only breakthrough technologies but also effective pathways to bring innovative environmental solutions to market. While Horizon Europe projects generate numerous high-potential Key Exploitable Results (KERs), many struggle to attract investors, identify early adopters and develop robust commercialisation strategies.

The European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform (ECESP) provides a unique ecosystem connecting policymakers, industry, investors, research organisations and innovators working towards Europe's circular transition. Building on this community, the proposed Investor Workshop will focus on accelerating market uptake of circular innovations contributing to cleaner environments, pollution reduction and resource efficiency.

Focus Technologies

The workshop will concentrate on the following NYMPHE Key Exploitable Results:

• METland – nature-based electroconductive wetland technology for wastewater treatment and pollution removal.

• METland+ – advanced treatment solutions integrating polishing technologies, including bivalve biofilters, membrane bioreactors (MBR), Electro-Fenton processes and specialised bacterial systems for enhanced contaminant removal.
